Coping with the Loss of a Spouse or Partner-For Widows and Widowers UNDER AGE 50 – Wednesday, 9/24/08, 7:00 – 8:15 p.m.
This workshop will focus on the unique aspects of losing a spouse at an early age. Loss of a spouse or partner in early or mid adulthood presents many challenges, including single parenthood, renegotiating relationships with friends and other couples, and dating. This workshop will address these and other key issues and offer opportunities for sharing, reflection and learning about coping strategies.

Coping with the Loss of an Adult Sibling – Monday, 10/27/08, 7:00 – 8:15 p.m.
The death of an adult brother or sister can be devastating, and often this loss receives little attention or support. Adults who have experienced the death of a sibling offer suffer in silence. This workshop will focus on the unique aspects surrounding grief related to sibling loss, and offer opportunities for sharing, reflection and strategies for empowerment.

Coping with the Holidays - This workshop will be offered on two separate occasions: Tuesday, 11/25/08 and Wednesday 12/13/07, 7:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.
For anyone dealing with the loss of a loved one, the holiday season can be a difficult and dreaded time period. Expectations about joy and merriment often do not reflect the inner life of the grieving person. This workshop will offer participants an opportunity to discuss this predicament, and to learn strategies for effective coping and self care during the holidays.

Adult Children Coping with the Loss of a Parent - – (1) Six Tuesdays, 9/16/08 - 10/21/08, 7:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.; (2) Six Wednesdays, 10/29/08 – 12/3/08.
Many successful adults are surprised at the depth of their reactions following the death of a mother or father, and these groups will address these issues and offer opportunities for sharing, reflection and insight into coping strategies. These groups will offer an in depth opportunity to explore the many changes and challenges that ensue from the death of a parent. Each session will focus on a different aspect of grief.
